Building Confidence Through Financial Understanding
Money shouldn't feel mysterious. We teach practical financial planning that actually makes sense. Real strategies, honest guidance, and the kind of knowledge that stays with you for years. Based in Nowra and working with people throughout Australia who want clarity instead of jargon.

How We Got Here
Started with one question back in 2018: why is financial education so complicated when it doesn't have to be?
The Beginning in Nowra
Launched our first workshop series at a local community centre. Eight attendees showed up. We taught budgeting basics using real household examples from the Shoalhaven region. People actually got it.
Going Remote Out of Necessity
COVID pushed everything online. Turned out to be a blessing—we could reach rural communities across NSW who'd never had access to this kind of education. Attendance tripled that year.
Developing Structured Programs
Created our first comprehensive curriculum after listening to hundreds of questions from participants. Focused on debt management, saving patterns, and investment basics. Nothing fancy—just what people needed most.
Partnership with Local Businesses
Started working with employers in the Illawarra region to offer financial wellness programs. Employees reported less stress and better sleep once they had a handle on their finances.
Looking Forward
Launching new courses in September 2025 focusing on retirement planning for younger Australians. Because starting early makes a bigger difference than starting with a lot of money.

Real Life Situations, Not Textbook Theory
Financial planning isn't about memorizing formulas. It's about understanding how money flows through your actual life and making decisions that match your reality.
We use case studies from real Australian households—the mortgage struggles, the childcare costs, the car repairs that happen at the worst possible time. That's what makes the learning stick.
- Interactive workshops where you work through your own financial scenarios
- Small group sessions that encourage questions without judgment
- Follow-up resources you can reference months later when you need them
- Practical tools that work with spreadsheets or notebooks
What We Focus On
Six areas that form the foundation of solid financial planning. Not everything at once—people usually start with one or two depending on what's keeping them up at night.
Budget Planning
Learning where your money goes is step one. We help you build a budget that reflects how you actually live, not some ideal version.
Debt Management
Credit cards, car loans, mortgages—we cover strategies for paying down debt efficiently while maintaining your quality of life.
Saving Strategies
Building emergency funds and saving for goals without feeling deprived. It's about consistency more than amounts.
Investment Basics
Understanding shares, property, super, and other investment options. We explain risk, returns, and timelines in plain language.
Insurance Essentials
What you need, what you don't, and how to compare policies. Insurance can be confusing—we make it clearer.
Retirement Planning
Superannuation choices, contribution strategies, and retirement income planning. Starting this in your 30s makes a huge difference.
Teaching What We've Learned
Our lead educator, Ingrid Petrovna, spent fifteen years working in financial services before switching to education. She got tired of seeing people confused by their own money.
What frustrated her most was watching clients nod along in meetings, then leave without really understanding what they'd agreed to. The industry had made simple concepts unnecessarily complicated.
So she started teaching. First at libraries, then community centres, eventually building nuvexaelari into what it is now. Her approach is straightforward—if you can't explain something to your neighbour over coffee, you don't understand it well enough.
The rest of our team comes from diverse backgrounds. Former teachers, accountants, even a couple of career-changers who went through financial struggles themselves and wanted to help others avoid the same mistakes.
